How it Happened
It began as an email exchange between Native American Health Center's Assistant Executive Officer, Greg Harmon and Human Resources Manager, Natalie Aguilera contemplating staff appreciation. Everyone in administration pitched in with ideas about breakfast, chair massages, an A's game, a pizza lunch, and an ice-cream social accompanied by raffle prizes.
Staff Appreciation week served not only to honor our hard working staff, but it was also as a chance for the different departments to mix and mingle. Administration received much positive feedback regarding the events such as, "what a great idea... I had a lot of fun at the A's game with my family... I really enjoyed the massage and now I'm stuffed from lunch!"
Martin Waukazoo, CEO, said he was very pleased to see the esprit de corps that was shown by all the planners and participants. Martin participated in most of the events himself, and commented that he had "had a great time."
